  • The Apehl initiative, supported by the Xunta de Galicia through Turismo de Galicia, will continue to be present in the stage start areas until the race finishes in Granada on 13 September.

02.09.2026. The …E para comer, Lugo stand has reached the halfway point of its journey alongside La Vuelta Ciclista a España 2026. For the fourteenth consecutive year, the Provincial Association of Hospitality and Tourism Entrepreneurs of Lugo (Apehl), with the support of the Xunta de Galicia through Turismo de Galicia, is promoting the province of Lugo and its gastronomic and tourist attractions.

Since the competition began in Monaco on 22 August, the Association’s team has accompanied the peloton throughout every stage of the race, promoting Lugo at different points along the route. The initiative has now reached the halfway point of an activity that will continue until the final stage of La Vuelta, scheduled to take place in Granada on 13 September.

As in previous editions, the …E para comer, Lugo stand is set up in the start areas of each of the 21 stages, specifically in the designated VIP areas. There, Association staff offer attendees —including cyclists, sponsors, visitors, authorities and media representatives, among other guests— appetisers made with local products, all of them bearing quality labels, as well as promotional material about the province and these quality products, together with copies of the latest edition of the ...E para comer, Lugo tourism and gastronomy guide.

Following this first half of the route, the promotional activity continues today, Wednesday 2 September, with the stage between Cartagena and Lorca. Over the following days, the stand will be present at the stage starts in Vera (Almería) on the 3rd, Almuñécar (Granada) on the 4th, Jaén on 5 September and Palma del Río (Córdoba) on the 6th. After the rest day on the 7th, La Vuelta will resume in Cortegana (Huelva) on the 8th, Dos Hermanas (Seville) on the 9th, El Puerto de Santa María (Cádiz) on the 10th, Vélez-Málaga on the 11th, La Calahorra (Granada) on the 12th and, finally, Granada on 13 September.

In this way, …E para comer, Lugo will continue to take advantage of the visibility and drawing power of one of the leading events on the cycling calendar to showcase the province’s gastronomy and tourist attractions to audiences from different parts of Spain and abroad.
